I had the opportunity to see some amazing cars ranging from the infamous Rauh-Welt Porsche cars…

…to a Matte White Bugatti Veyron…

…a Fisker Karma…

…even the Hennessy Venom GT made an appearance.

We brought out our BMW 1M which was in the Nexen Tire booth.

Our BMW X6M fitted with a set of Savini Wheels and Rotora Brakes which was in the Rotora Brake booth.

And our widebody BMW M3 which was outside in the DUB area.

The size of the show is outrageous, and the amount of cars, booths, and people is just insane; especially for a show not open to the public.  If you’ve never attended SEMA I’d highly recommend becoming friends with someone in the industry so you can get a badge and attend one year.  The show offers something for everyone.  It literally takes days to walk the entire show if you want to see everything, especially if you plan on taking a lot of photos!  Check out the gallery of SEMA shots below for more photos and be sure to follow my Flickr and Razzi page for more updates in case I slack on getting update #2 done soon.

There isn’t a whole lot you really NEED to do to a Nismo 370z, aesthetically.  Out of the box this car is sexy.   The OEM aero is MUCH more tasteful than the previous generation Nismo Z.

Among these improvements is the rear valence/diffuser.  The last Nismo rear looked horrible imo.  This looks much more refined and balanced with the rest of the car.  I looks so sinister it looks in this shot.

While the OEM 370 Nismo wheels do look awesome for an OEM wheel, the Work Gnosis GS2 wheels are further perfection.  Ride height is compliments of Stance coilover systems and the guys at Project X.

And man did they get that fitment right.

I love the line flowing from the front fender arch to the fascia.

Good taste makes it’s into the interior with a Nardi wheel (with stitching to match the red-stitched interior) attached to a Works Bell QR,  a Tommy Kiara shift knob, and a touchscreen headunit.

Status bucket seats keep Jay and his lucky passenger firmly planted.

The engine bay is immaculately clean and very much attention has been paid to the details.  Polished Stillen dual intakes compliment the fully polished front face of the motor.  I would stop by Project X on a random weekend or weekday afternoon over the summer and find Jay in the parking lot sanding and polishing with a dremel sometimes in upwards of 95* weather.   The engine cover has been replaced with a CF one and a CF cooling plate was installed to match.

The bay is littered with Baller Bolts in an anodized blue finish.

 Jay wanted a way to secure his skateboards into his car, but he didn’t want something that looked generic.  Jeff at Project X engineered a completely custom one-off  adjustable skateboard rack for Jay’s build.   I was telling Jeff he should start selling these things.

  Also completely custom is the floorpanel, made by Project X, which mounts Jay’s amps and subwoofers.

Jay started having a little fun when we were getting some action shots in.  Party on, Jay.

If I had this Z, I would probably just stare at it too.

It was definitely excellent shooting along side Mike Maravilla.  Always a pleasure working with someone who shares a common passion for motorsports and documenting it.

I noticed Mike’s process is very much like my own:  Methodical and precise.  He takes his time when he shoots.

And, who knew Mike could shoot photos too?!  All jokes aside, I dig Mike’s photography as much as his videos.  The photos retain a certain cinematic quality to them.

My favorite car of the event had to be this Rocket Bunny 6666 S13 built by Touge Factory. It made its debut at the show.

Kamil got in contact with me to shoot his Mercedes SL55 AMG for stance:nation so we hopped over to Jeremy’s area for this great location and fired the camera away.
